FAQ

Everything guests ask before booking a direct stay in Naoussa, Paros — getting here, the village, the suites, and how direct booking works.

Is Naoussa Paros family-friendly?

Yes — Naoussa is one of the most family-friendly villages in the Cyclades. It is walkable, pedestrian-only in the old town, and has shallow protected beaches at Naoussa and Piperi within minutes of the centre. Most family-friendly boutique hotels offer beach kits, kid-friendly menus, and arrange child-safe boat trips across the bay.

How do I get from Athens to Paros?

Two options: by ferry from Piraeus (3–4 hours on the high-speed catamaran, 5 hours on the conventional ferry) or by 40-minute flight from Athens International Airport to Paros National Airport (PAS). Ferries run year-round, flights mainly April–October.

What is the best month to visit Paros with kids?

Late May to mid-June and September are the sweet spots: warm enough to swim (sea ~22-25°C), quieter than peak July-August, and most attractions are operational. Avoid August if you can — it is the busiest, hottest, and most expensive month, especially around the August 23rd Naoussa feast.

How far is Alkistis from Naoussa village?

Alkistis is located in the Naoussa area, an 8-minute walk from the Old Venetian Harbor of Naoussa and 2 minutes from our village beach. Five minutes drive from Paros Park and the Cape Korakas lighthouse trails.

Do I need a car when staying in Naoussa?

Not for Naoussa itself — the village is walkable and water taxis reach the best nearby beaches (Kolymbithres, Monastiri, Santa Maria) every 30 minutes. A car is useful for one or two days to visit Lefkes village, the marble quarries of Marathi, or the Antiparos ferry port at Pounta. We arrange rentals on request.

What is there to do near Naoussa for a 7-day stay?

A full week lets you combine all the highlights: 2-3 beach days alternating between Naoussa, Kolymbithres and Monastiri; one Antiparos day trip (ferry + Cave of Antiparos + Soros beach); one inland day to Lefkes village and the Byzantine Way; a half-day at Moraitis or Boutari winery; a Paros Park hike; and a sailing trip across the bay. See our 7-day family itinerary.

Do you offer airport or port transfers?

Yes. We arrange private transfers from Paros National Airport (PAS, ~25 minutes drive) and from Parikia ferry port (~12 minutes drive). Request the transfer at the time of booking and we coordinate with our partner driver — meet-and-greet at the gate, child seats on request, fixed price, no Uber surge fluctuations.

Can I cancel or change my direct booking?

Yes — the exact cancellation terms depend on the rate and season you choose, and they are shown clearly at checkout before you pay anything. Because you book directly with us, you deal with the property — not a marketplace call-centre — if your plans change.

What is the best-rate guarantee?

If you find a publicly bookable lower rate elsewhere within 24 hours of confirming a direct booking, send us the screenshot at info@alkistisparos.com and we will match it AND give you a €30 in-suite credit for restaurant reservations or spa add-ons. Applies to identical dates, suite type, and cancellation terms.

Are pets welcome?

Small dogs (under 10kg) are welcome on request, one per suite, with a €25/night charge to cover deep-cleaning. Please request when booking so we can prepare a bed, bowls, and a list of dog-friendly tavernas in the village. Larger dogs cannot be accommodated due to suite size.

Is Alkistis good for couples wanting a quiet, romantic stay?

Very. With only four suites and a private pool each, Alkistis is quiet and intimate by design — the Honeymoon Suite is the most secluded. We welcome families too, so it is not strictly adults-only, but the small scale keeps it calm and grown-up in feel. It is the personal, walk-to-the-harbour alternative to a big Santorini hotel.

Does every suite have its own private pool?

Yes — all four suites have a private heated pool or plunge pool, not a shared one. The pools are heated from April to October, so you can swim comfortably well outside high summer. This per-suite private pool is the main difference between Alkistis and the larger hotels in Naoussa that share a single pool.
