Experiences

Island life is a slow life. Whether you sail the Aegean, trace village alleys, or sip wines from volcanic vines, Paros invites you to dig a little deeper, wander a little further, and always, always explore at your own pace.

Sailing the Bay of Naoussa

Step aboard at the Old Venetian Harbor and trace the bay's emerald coves under sail. Anchor at hidden beaches reachable only by boat, swim in water so clear it looks empty, and watch Naoussa shrink into a whitewashed dot as you cross to the protected island of Daskalio. Half-day and full-day options, perfect for couples, friends, and confident young swimmers.

Paros Park & Lighthouse Hikes

Just five minutes from Alkistis, the Paros Environmental and Cultural Park stretches over 800 acres of protected coast, with three signposted trails — short, medium, and long — winding past chapels, ancient quarries, and the 19th-century lighthouse at Cape Korakas. Kid-friendly distances, sea breeze guaranteed.

Moraitis & Boutari Wineries

Paros is volcanic too, and the local Monemvasia grape tells you the moment you taste it. Visit Moraitis — six minutes from us in central Naoussa — for a guided tasting in their stone-vaulted cellar, or drive to Boutari's Paros estate for a more polished experience. We arrange your tastings and, on request, a designated driver.

Antiparos by Day

A 10-minute ferry from Pounta connects Paros to its quieter, more bohemian sister island. Wander Antiparos Chora's flower-tunneled main street, ride down to the famous Cave of Antiparos (one of the oldest in Europe), or commit a full day to the southern beaches of Soros and Agios Georgios. Easy with kids, magical at sunset.

Naoussa Village Wandering

Step into Naoussa's soul. Whitewashed alleys curl around the Old Venetian Harbor, where fishing boats still come in at dawn and tavernas spill onto the cobblestones at dusk. Visit the half-sunken Venetian castle, watch the local fishermen unload the day's catch, or join the August 23rd traditional feast — one of the most photographed celebrations in the Cyclades.

Beach-Hopping by Water Taxi

Skip the car-park scramble. From Naoussa harbor, traditional caïques shuttle every 30 minutes across the bay to Kolymbithres' moon-rock formations, sheltered Monastiri, and the kite-surfer's playground at Santa Maria. Pack a swimsuit, hop on, hop off — the slowest, most beautiful way to see the coast.

Not to be missed

  • The marble quarries of Marathi

The source of the marble that built the Venus de Milo and Napoleon's tomb. Free to visit, eerily quiet.

  • Panagia Ekatontapiliani

In Parikia: one of the oldest still-functioning Christian churches in the world, founded by Saint Helen in the 4th century.

  • Lefkes — the highland village

A 20-minute drive inland to the original capital of Paros. Cool air, marble fountains, the famous Byzantine Way trail.

  • Sunset at the Old Venetian Harbor

Eight minutes' walk from your suite. A glass of wine, a plate of grilled octopus, and the half-sunken Venetian castle glowing pink — the everyday ritual of Naoussa.
